For any gift cards in your Cardivo account, you can easily redeem them in part or full via the Gift Cards page in your admin dashboard.
Go to the Gift Cards page, then click on the more menu next to the gift card you'd like to redeem, and click "Redeem manually".
This will open a pop-up with two tabs – "Redeem the full balance" and "Redeem partial balance". Choose whichever one you need. If you choose partial, you'll need to enter the amount you want to redeem.
For both partial and full redemption scenarios, there are two optional but recommended fields– "What was it used for" is visible on the gift card page that customers can also see - as a reference for what this gift card was redeemed against, like "Phone order for ABC service" or "In-store redemption for XYZ product".
This will be visible to customers on their gift card management page like this:
If you don't add any text here, it will just show the amount and "manual redemption" on the gift card page.
The second optional but recommended field is "Total transaction value" which is used for internal reporting for you. This will be shown in your dashboard in a future update to let you see the total value of transactions that involved a gift card. We recommend adding both values where possible.
Manual redemptions make it easy for you and your team to handle ad-hoc scenarios or phone, email, in-person redemptions as needed.
